Environmental Policy

Environmental Policy

It is a fundamental part of the culture in Frisenette that we act properly. That is why we are aware of our environmental footprint in the world, and we strive to/consider how Frisenette can improve to take better care of our environment and climate.

Frisenette aims

  • To reduce the CO2 emission from our products
  • To head and take responsibility as an industry
  • To be equipped for the demands and legislation of the future within sustainability

What we already do

We decrease the CO2 print in our own corporation by reducing the energy use and utilise renewable energy sources.

  • We have changed all lighting with LED lights in 2017.
  • Since 2016, we have heated storage and offices by air-water heating pumps.
  • Our forklift runs on electricity.
  • We have exclusively bought green electricity from windmills since 2022.

We decrease the CO2 print by reducing the transport to and from the corporation.

  • We are making it financially attractive to accumulate orders by offering free shipping for or-ders above 2,500 DKK in Denmark.
  • We provide our customers with a green choice and gather their part deliveries and thereby limiting transport and the use of fossil fuels.
  • We accumulate company orders at our suppliers; hence our deliveries are always whole pallets/full trucks.

We save resources by recycling materials and packaging.

  • We recycle the cardboard boxes that we receive from the suppliers.
  • We utilise residual paper from our filter punching machine as dunnage and have thereby almost eliminated our use of bubble wrap.

We will have an environmentally friendly agenda internally.

  • We are attentive to correct waste disposal.
  • We utilise environmentally friendly detergents.

Next steps towards sustainability

We will continue to pursue new optimisation strategies in the company. Among other things, we have an aim to phase out the use of plastic in our outward packaging during 2022-23.
Above that, as a trading company we have a special responsibility to consider our supplier chain. We want to utilise our influence to have dialogues with suppliers and manufacturers about sustaina-bility and consequently improve the conditions of the environment and climate. In the long term, we want to specify concrete demands to material health, resource consumption, climate footprint, envi-ronment, and social responsibility.
